We purchased Curious George at the 2002 Celebrity Sale in partnership with Graceful Legend Llamas to expand our line-up of suri herd sires. Curious George was sired by Newevo, a full Peruvian suri male who broke all records when he sold for $220,000 at the Feathers and Friends Final Fiesta Sale in August of 2003. Curious George is the spitting image of his sire, boasting a glossy black fleece in a traditional tuxedo pattern.

Curious George is conformationally correct but don’t take our word for it. He won First Place with Ray Howard as the judge at the 2001 ALSA Rocky Mountain Regional Championship Llama Show as a juvenile male. He also finished in the Top 10 at the ALSA Grand National Championship Llama Show that same year. During the 2002 show season, after we purchased Curious George, he continued to be “in the ribbons” and qualified for both the 2003 ALSA Eastern Regional and Grand National Championship Llama Shows.

In addition to conformation, Curious George has beautiful suri fiber. His fleece is soft to the touch and lustrous with a defined lock structure. He has a very calm disposition and is a joy to handle. He has a very curious nature, hence the name “Curious” George. He is settling females and his first offspring are due in 2004.

Curious George is available for outside breedings. If you are interested in breeding to a suri male, Curious George is a good choice due to his pedigree, conformation, fiber and disposition, all traits that we emphasize in our breeding program.
